Understanding the Student Components of the Texas Math Solution
The Texas Math Solution (TXMS) is comprised of a variety of Course Components that make up both the textbook and digital interactive solution. Below, you will find a list of all of the student components for the TXMS, a description for the component, the frequency of use, what language(s) in which it is available, and what format it is available. The hyperlinks in the "TXMS Component" column will take you to subsequent articles to provide you with more information about that particular component.

Lesson Level Components
All of the TXMS Components are available in 1 of 4 formats; textbook, PDF Printable, Digital Book, and Digital Interactive. The Digital Book allows you to markup, annotate, and save your notes in the document so you can come back to it at a later time. The digital Interactive Assignments and Assessments allow you to submit your answers online.

Module Family & Caregiver Guide |
The Module Family & Caregiver Guide is designed to assist families as they talk to their student(s) about their mathematics learning throughout each module. It provides families with an overview of the mathematics of each topic within each module, how the math is connected to what their student(s) already know, and how the new knowledge will be used in future learning. It also provides an illustration of math from the real world, sample standardized test questions, and a few key terms that the student will learn. Additionally, it provides families and caregivers a space to talk with their student(s) about important dates they should focus on throughout the module. Enhanced Topic Assessment (SE) | The Enhanced Topic Assessments incorporate existing STAAR-aligned multiple-choice questions along with griddable and open-response questions. Each assessment is aligned to the TEKS of the topic, however, not all supporting TEKS may be assessed. Mid-Topic Assessments exist for topics that extend longer than four instructional weeks. There may be additional Mid-Topic Assessments added for topics that are less than four instructional weeks based on the content and TEKS covered in each topic. |

Assignment (SE) | The Assignment follows each lesson and includes the following elements: Write, Remember, Practice, Stretch, and Review. These elements reinforce the student's learning and provide an opportunity for spiraled practice of previously taught concepts.
