This is an extremely exciting event for all of us at Carnegie Learning and we are confident that it will be a powerful and critical professional development opportunity for you. “Math Changes Everything: The Gatekeeper to Success” conference is the culmination of several years of high growth here resulting from ongoing cognitive research into product improvements and lessons-learned spending time with you in your classrooms and labs. What we’ve heard is that you want to improve and evolve your Carnegie Learning implementations by sharing best practices with your colleagues, getting additional training, and asking questions of our trainers, developers, and management staff to help us understand how we can continue to evolve our solutions to help you and your students to be more successful.

“Math Changes Everything: The Gatekeeper to Success” will be two and half days of intensive collaboration, lab time, working sessions, and insights from education leaders at the government, district, and classroom levels. And of course, there will be some fun as well, as we convene in the warmth and energy of San Antonio, and show our appreciation to you for helping us change the way America learns math.

  • You will experience hands-on training in our 2008 enhancements and new solutions, learn about model implementations, share your successes and challenges, and discuss the most recent cognitive research in how students learn math.

  • Discover new funding sources, including Federal Math Now programs, and curricula strategies for algebra readiness, credit recovery, and intervention.

  • We are happy to announce confirmed keynote speakers Tom Vilsack, former Governor of Iowa and member of Strong American Schools ED in 08, a non-partisan group committed to ensuring that education is a top priority in the 2008 presidential election; and Bob Collins, Chief Instructional Officer, Los Angeles Unified School District.

Please visit the Carnegie Learning conference Web site today and secure your place at the early-bird rate. We encourage you to bring a team of teachers and administrators from your schools and districts so that you may continue to share the insights you learn throughout the year. We hope we’ve made it easy for you to sign-up with options to register by credit card, check, or purchase order.

As always, please contact me directly or your account manager if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting you personally in San Antonio
