| Programs Approved for Implementation through 2014 PITTSBURGH, PA, April 22, 2009 – The Curricular Materials adoption process by the Idaho State Department of Education has designated Carnegie Learning® Bridge to Algebra as a “Recommended” mathematics curriculum for grades 6-8 and Carnegie Learning® Algebra I and Carnegie Learning® Geometry as “Recommended” curricula for grades 9-12. As an intervention solution, the State’s Grade 6-8 Evidence Based Intervention Program review also designated Carnegie Learning® Bridge to Algebra as “Approved” and found that it met nearly 90% of Idaho standards for grades 6-8. The Idaho Adoption Process reviews and evaluates new curricular materials on a six-year adoption cycle to ensure the availability of quality, cost-effective programs. All evidence-based mathematical materials are reviewed according to Idaho’s criteria for “Scientifically based research”, as well as correlation to Idaho Content Standards. Curricula are screened for content, organization, presentation, and quality. In addition to adoption in Idaho, Carnegie Learning® Math Solutions are at the forefront of education transformation programs nationwide, and are part of state-wide initiatives in Washington, Louisiana, and Georgia where Carnegie Learning published customized textbooks to meet more rigorous high school math requirements established by the Georgia Department of Education. Carnegie Learning is currently developing customized textbooks for Kentucky, West Virginia, and Florida. About Carnegie Learning (www.carnegielearning.com)
