
Carnegie Learning Hires Former READ 180 National Director to Lead Professional Development Services |

| PITTSBURGH, PA, April 14, 2009 – Carnegie Learning, Inc., the leading publisher of research-based math solutions for middle school, high school, and higher education students, today announced the hiring of Peggy Pawloski as Vice President of Professional Services. Pawloski joins the company following 13 years with Scholastic Corporation where she was National Director of Training. At Scholastic Corporation, Pawloski was instrumental in designing and defining a standard set of training protocols for educational technology programs including READ 180. At Carnegie Learning she will lead the Education Services Group in the Pittsburgh headquarters as well as the company’s Managers of School Partnerships, full-time Carnegie Learning employees who work in the schools with teachers and administrators to enhance the implementation of Carnegie Learning® Math Solutions and Professional Development Services. “Carnegie Learning is committed to providing intensive district-wide Professional Development for math teachers that focuses on best practices in teaching and learning,” said Dennis Ciccone, Chief Executive Officer of Carnegie Learning, Inc. “Peggy Pawloski understands that teacher quality and engagement is at the heart of every successful implementation and she has created successful models in support of the industry’s leading reading program. Prior to joining Scholastic Corporation, Pawloski was a product manager with Paramount Publishing, an early imprint of Pearson Publishing, and held an education consulting position with Silver Burdette Ginn. Pawloski has a Bachelor of Science in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Arts degree in the Education of Gifted and Talented, K-12 with extensive post-graduate coursework.
